Chicken Run

For those who missed the Chicken Run it was awesome… The CMA okes owe me a new bum cause we rode for over 150km non stop ! poor callen couldn’t feel his arms from holding on the entire way.  The chicken made safely across the road only to be braai ed and it was lekker. We ended up at Handle Bars (Hell Raizors Club House).  It was a hard earned badge and well worth it.  Over 70 bikes attended.

EAGLES RALLY 2010

So the Eagles Rally came and flew on, what an awsome time we had, for some of us the weekend started on thursday already. I was told we had fire and log dancing and sleeping bags were converted from -5 degrees to sidedraft customs. Friday progressed and the rest of the NOBS arrived.... and then it was just down hill from there.

"Maakie" once again ensured that there was great entertainment... rock on Miss Eagles rock.. the NOBS President sniped you with his cam, this was before he deicided to take hunting more seriously on Saturday, but before we go there. You know with any rally there are always guys who feels a bit "DISBARGERATE" and then share whiskey the next morning......nothing llike "mother's milk"to keep the peace.

We So badly wanted to arrange some entertainment for our StagBoy, whos wedding was coming. Well all I can say the locals and local SPAR had it all sorted. With a pole in the store and a "larger than Life" local lady; helped us out.....ja she took poledancing to a whole new level.

Then as we approached the bakery he utters 1 HALF DOZEN sausage rolls please.......... kriek..kriek....and smoke churns as the hamster stops to process the highly complex equation.... the baker bends and abruptly rises..... here sir are your 3 sausage rolls... thank you for coming... at this point i did not know where to put my overwhelming laugher in his "hamster's" pocket or in my trolly... well we push along..........

Back at camp, the dear hunter was geared, ready for anything including the 0.00000001mm of drizzle from the thunderous cunfused clouds...... well it was always the case of whos is bigger. If it was not about bringing the biggest tree stump..... our vocab clearly broadened.... the hicky-dicky sang, do a deer... or was it do,re, me..... fuzzy duck showed his face..... but the emmy goes to "DUCKBALL PLATTER PUSS" or was PLASSER.... well there were variations....

Brings us to saturday's acrobatic entertainment.......1 tequila 2 tequila 3 tequila...... honey can I do cartwheels, I promise i'll wear my helmet and jacket.. well that  was short lived when our tequila cartwheeler went dancing on our neighbours' stoop cause the song was her ringtone.....when tequila took honey dancing.... the SSRAD got started :)......BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR BA BA BA..peep..peep

I could go on for ever and share more snippets....... But ALL in ALL it was a flattening experiencing.

Friends gather, friends are made....... experiences live a lifetime.

NOBS would like to wish Nigel and Kim all of the best for your new married life!!!!!!

Till the next one......Angelo

The Chop nThe Chop n Dop rally 17th JulyDop rally 17th July

This rally is the cheapest rally I ever attended, and it was really awesome!, yes it was cold …like very cold …OB is strongly recommended, the cost of this rally was R80 which is half of the cost of a normal rally was totally awesome and worth much more that your R80.This rally to me was more about the bikes, bikers and brother hood which is one of the great reasons that I’m am still biking today. Nothing was lost at this cheap really, there was his and hers strippers, live band that was asked to come back wet t-shirt competitions on the Friday and Saturday night, cheap alcohol and many small prizes the Friday and Saturday, which in my mind is totally awesome. The camp site was kept clean and there was fantastic service. I can’t understand why all the other rallies are so expensive and have the same to offer as this rally. I personally think that this is the bench mark as in price that all rallies have to strive for, let the bikers get more for their money’s worth.

I would really urge all bikes to attend this rally next year as I will.

Congratulations to the Chop n Dop  you guys done really well, most impressive.

Buffalo 2010 was greatly planned as always. It had the right idea as a biker rally, very strict and very neat, the ride was abit long but well worth it. The venue was awesome and the vibe was really great , the band could of played more rock ‘n roll music to be the crowd going but the overall feeling of being there with your boney and feeling one with the rally is truly amazing. I would recommend this rally to all bikes to attend, it’s a must.

Swallow 2010 was greatly planned as always. The idea of a bike rally had been lost some were over the past years, and now more it is of a local night life party similar to that found at a night club, than a biker rally, there were more cars driving around in the camp site which was uncontrolled and unacceptable, due to that fact it is a biker rally. Swallows claim to fame is that they are the ‘biggest biker rally in the Western Cape’ for non bikers.  For the first time in 7 years I did not enjoy the Swallows biker rally. The only thing I can hope for that this rally which had a real good reputation as a biker rally finds its way back to that which it started out as.
